Something very strange and bizarre happened on monday.
A customer came to the marijuana dispensary and ordered a half ounce of sativa flower. The woman also ordered two bags of edibles. The customer exited the building at approximately 9:30 in the morning. The security officer watched the woman walk to her car. Then the car sat in the parking lot and never moved. The security officer came to speak with me at noon. He was concerned that there might be an issue with the woman. If it was a medical problem, we needed to intervene. I asked the security officer to tap on the window to make sure that the woman was okay. She was sleeping in the backseat of the car. I didn’t want to cause any problems. The customer did spend $200 in the marijuana dispensary that morning, so she earned the right to sleep in the back seat for a couple of hours and she was tired. She wasn’t causing any problems and she wasn’t bothering any of the additional customers at the marijuana dispensary. Unfortunately, when the woman finally woke up around 2:00 p.m., she started asking people in the parking lot for money. The security officer went outside and kindly asked the woman to leave. It was no problem at all for her to sleep for a couple of hours in the parking lot, but we could not have her panhandling in the parking lot. She didn’t cause any problems when she was asked to leave. She got into her car and drove down the street.
