I have been taking my daughter to the same day care for the past 3 years.
I have never had any issues with the care that she has received until this week.
My daughter came home with a roach in her backpack. It wouldn’t even be a big deal if it was a bug, but it was a marijuana roach and I know that the roach did not come from my house or my child. As soon as I found the marijuana product in her bag, I asked her if she knew how it got into the bag. My daughter did not have an answer for me. She looked scared, but I don’t think that she knew how the marijuana joint ended up in her backpack. I contacted the daycare the next morning. I did not want to email the director and the place was already closed when I found the marijuana product in her bag. The next morning I called as soon as the place was open for business. I demanded an answer and I wanted to talk directly to the daycare supervisor. The supervisor scheduled an appointment for me to come into the office. She promised that it was an issue that she would get to the bottom of and she swore that she had no idea how the marijuana product ended up in my child’s backpack. I was supposed to take my child back to the same day care the next day, but I thought it was a better idea to take the day off work so I could find a new place for my daughter to spend the day.
