I have been taking our child Max to the same afternoon care for the past 3 years.
I have never had any complications with the care that Max has acquired until earlier this week. Max came to the lakeside apartment with a roach in her backpack. It would not even be a substantial deal if it was the bug, but it was actually a marijuana roach and I suppose that the roach did not come from our apartment or Max. As soon as I found the marijuana product in her bag, I asked Max if she knew how it got into the bag. Max did not have an answer for me. Max looked scared, but I don’t believe that she knew how the marijuana joint ended up in her bag. I contacted the afternoon care the next afternoon. I did not want to email the employer and the locale was already closed when I found the marijuana product in Max’s bag. The next afternoon I called as soon as the locale reopened for business. I demanded an answer and I wanted to talk directly to the afternoon care manager. The manager booked an appointment for myself and others to come into the office. She promised that it was a serious issue that she would get to the bottom of and she swore that she had no clue how the marijuana product ended up in our child’s backpack. I was supposed to take Max back to the same afternoon care the next afternoon, but I thought it was a better system to take the next few afternoons off work so I could find a new locale for our child to spend the afternoon.
