A couple of months ago, my wife left me and took the kids away from the house.
I was completely and totally devastated.
I honestly did not know that my wife was unhappy. Everything caught me by surprise and I was depressed and upset for weeks after she left. I had to go back to work, but I wasn’t really getting anything done. The boss was complaining about my lack of enthusiasm for the job and I honestly didn’t have anything to say in response. I didn’t have any enthusiasm either. I had a meeting with one of the corporate guys and I thought I was having a heart attack. I had all of the symptoms of a heart attack. I was shaking and sweating and I felt like I was going to die. My heart was beating so fast that I thought it was going to come out of my chest. I had terrible pain in my chest and I had a headache that wouldn’t go away. I honestly thought I was going to die. Someone at the office called the paramedics and they responded within 10 minutes. They did not believe that I was having a heart attack. The paramedics believed that it was an anxiety or panic attack. They still took me to the emergency room so the doctor and hospital could check everything. The doctor agreed with the paramedic that I was having an acute panic attack. He recommended smoking a little bit of medical marijuana next time I feel stressed. The doctor also asked if I regularly had stress and I laughed out loud. Medical marijuana might be a good way to help me get through the divorce.
