When I started working at the medical & recreational marijuana dispensary, the boss went over the rules with me while I was in an orientation; Most of the rules were about following the directions & regulations set forth by the state for marijuana sales & supplies… There were a couple of rules regarding our performance & attire at work, for instance, my coworkers & I are not allowed to wear anything that has a logo that does not belong to the supplier… Even if your shirt has a small Nike swoosh, you can’t wear it. The only branding inside of the dispensary can be the marijuana dispensary itself. The dispensary sells shirts that the two of us can buy with the name of the cannabis dispensary on the front & back. They’re only 10 bucks a piece & they are truly pretty nice but it’s still kind of dirty to make us spend money for our own uniform shirts & then disregard so many other things; Another rule that my boss covered while I was in orientation was no dating or Thursdays with other employees; I broke this rule about a week after I started working at the medical & recreational marijuana dispensary. I started dating Katie, a truly cute budtender that worked the evening shift, but he is 1 year older than me, but the two of us are both in our senior year of college; Katie & I headed off truly well, but when the two of us broke up it was truly difficult to work at the medical & recreational marijuana dispensary. I truly did not want to see his face everyday. I understood why the boss did not want coworkers to date after I had to see his after the two of us broke up.
